The Vigueur Active ingredients list is short enough to read in a minute, but understanding it takes a little longer. This guide explains, in everyday language, what each ingredient is, why it is in a men's vitality supplement, and how to interpret the amounts. Where you want deeper detail, we link to our dedicated ingredient pages.

The two nutrients: zinc and vitamin B3
Zinc – the male-vitality mineral
Zinc is the ingredient most directly tied to the product's purpose. In EU terms, zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood, to normal fertility and reproduction and to normal immune function. Vigueur Active gives you 110% of the daily reference value from a single capsule, which means you do not need to stack it with another zinc product – and in fact you should avoid doing so. The oxide form used is one of the most common in supplements. More on our zinc page.
Vitamin B3 – the energy vitamin
Niacin contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. It also contributes to normal psychological function. At 20 mg (125% NRV) the dose is meaningful but modest – well below the amounts that cause the flushing some people associate with high-dose niacin. Read the vitamin B3 page for more.
The two amino acids: L-Citrulline and L-Carnitine
These are dosed identically at 150 mg. L-Citrulline is converted in the body to arginine and is a fixture in pre-workout products. L-Carnitine transports fatty acids into cells for use as energy and is common in fitness and energy formulas. Together they give the formula its "active" identity. If you have used citrulline powder before, you will notice 150 mg is smaller than a typical scoop – that is the trade-off of a one-capsule product, and why the formula leans on breadth rather than a single large dose.

The four botanicals
Pine bark extract (100 mg)
From the maritime pine of south-west France, rich in procyanidin polyphenols. It is the largest botanical dose in the capsule and a signature of men's circulation and performance products. See the pine bark page.
Maca root extract (50 mg)
The Peruvian root with a thousand-year history of use. Because it is an extract, the weight is lower than raw maca powder products. Our maca page explains its background.
Grape skin extract (15 mg)
A source of grape polyphenols, complementing pine bark on the plant side of the formula.
Saffron stigma extract (5 mg)
Saffron is expensive and potent, so small doses are normal. It has a long tradition of use for mood and well-being and supports the confidence side of vitality.
The "other ingredients"
The capsule shell is hypromellose, a plant-derived material, which is why the product is labelled plant based. Microcrystalline cellulose is a bulking agent that fills the capsule evenly. Magnesium salts of fatty acids and silicon dioxide are standard anti-caking agents. The label's ingredient list also names Mucuna pruriens (velvet bean) extract. There is no gelatine.
Is anything missing?
It is worth noting what is not in Vigueur Active. There is no caffeine or stimulant, so it will not interfere with sleep. There is no vitamin D, magnesium or B12, so it is not a replacement for a general multivitamin. And there is no undisclosed proprietary blend – every active has a weight. Those are deliberate choices: a narrow, transparent formula aimed at one purpose.
Who should check the label carefully?
Men taking medication, men with a medical condition and anyone sensitive to any of the botanicals should speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use. The product is not for people under 18 or for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you already take a zinc supplement, do not double up.
Reading the numbers: NRV and blend weights
What does % NRV mean?
NRV stands for nutrient reference value, the EU benchmark for the daily amount of a vitamin or mineral. Vigueur Active shows 125% for niacin and 110% for zinc, meaning one capsule slightly exceeds a full day's reference intake of each. Only vitamins and minerals have an NRV; amino acids and plant extracts do not, which is why they show ** on the label.
Why are the botanical doses different sizes?
Extracts are concentrated, so a smaller weight can represent a larger amount of raw plant material. Saffron at 5 mg and maca at 50 mg are typical extract doses; pine bark at 100 mg is a generous one for a single capsule.
Can I take two capsules?
No. The label says one capsule a day and not to exceed the recommended dose. Doubling would push zinc well past the daily reference value.
